Pretzel Crusted Chicken Tenders

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. Pasturebird chicken breasts
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 Heinen’s pasture raised eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups Heinen’s pretzels, finely ground
  • 1 tsp. Heinen’s garlic powder
  • 1 Tsp. Heinen’s onion powder
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 Tbsp. Heinen’s Dijon mustard
  • 2 Tbsp. Heinen’s honey
  • 2 tsp. Heinen’s apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F. Line a baking sheet with foil.
  2. Slice chicken breasts in half, then slice into tenders. Pat chicken dry.
  3. Combine 2 cups finely ground Heinen’s pretzels, 1 tsp. Heinen’s garlic powder, and 1 tsp. Heinen’s onion powder in a medium bowl.
  4. Dredge chicken tenders in flour, then egg, then pretzel mixture. Repeat until all chicken tenders are coated.
  5. Place chicken on prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes per side, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  6. While chicken is baking, combine 1/4 cup mayonnaise, 3 Tbsp. Heinen’s Dijon Mustard, 2 Tbsp. Heinen’s Honey, and 2 tsps. Heinen’s Apple Cider Vinegar in a medium bowl. Stir well.
  7. Serve chicken tenders with honey mustard sauce.
