It’s hard to pass up a piece of cheesecake, but the process of baking a cheesecake from scratch can be intimidating to even the best bakers.

Luckily, Heinen’s has developed their own cheesecake recipe that tastes as fresh and decadent as anything you could bake in your oven or buy from an old school bake shop. It’s so good that it’s one of only two items in the Bakery to receive the Heinen’s Fan Favorites seal of approval!

  • Comes from a proprietary recipe developed by Heinen’s expert bakers. You simply can’t find it anywhere else!
  • Offers a rich, decadent flavor and texture that resembles a fusion of New York and Philadelphia-style cheesecakes.
  • Is assembled on a buttery graham cracker crust.
  • Is easily elevated with any toppings your taste buds are craving.

Speaking of toppings, Heinen’s original cheesecake is an ideal canvas for every sweet flavor profile under the sun, and while this cheesecake is undeniably delicious on its own, a little extra sweetness is never a bad thing.

Heinen's Grocery Store

By Heinen's Grocery Store

In 1929, Joe Heinen opened the doors of a small butcher shop on the east side of Cleveland, Ohio, aiming to establish himself as the city’s purveyor of quality meats. As customers came into Heinen’s new shop for their meat purchases, they began asking him to carry groceries as well. Joe added homemade peanut butter, pickles and donuts and by 1933, business had grown enough to include a line of produce and canned goods. Heinen’s Grocery Store was born.
