3 Simple Marinades to Add More Flavor to Salmon

Marinades are an effortless way to add flavor to your favorite proteins. If you’re a meat eater, you’ve likely had marinated chicken, beef and pork at a restaurant, or made them at home, but what about seafood?
Just like meat, seafood, especially salmon, is the perfect canvas to experiment with flavor. Marinades are easy to throw together on-the-fly with ingredients you have on had, but if you’re looking for inspiration, or if fish frequents your weekly menu, these three simple marinade recipes are sure to make a splash!
3 Simple Marinades to Add More Flavor to Salmon

Ingredients
For the Garlic and Herb Marinade
- 2 Tbsp. fresh dill, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, finely minced
- Juice of ½ lemon
- ¼ cup Heinen's olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 12 oz. of salmon
For the Sweet Soy Marinade
- 3 Tbsp. light brown sugar
- 1 garlic clove, finely minced
- 2 tsp. fresh ginger, minced
- 2 Tbsp. sesame oil
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 12 oz. of salmon
For the Cilantro Lime Marinade
- 1 ½ Tbsp. Two Brothers blackened seasoning
- 3 Tbsp. fresh cilantro, chopped
- Juice of 1 lime
- ¼ cup Heinen's olive oil
- Salt, to taste
- 12 oz. of salmon
Instructions
For any of the Marinades Above
- Add all of the ingredients for your marinade of choice, excluding the salmon, to a medium-size bowl and whisk to combine.
- Transfer the salmon and marinade to a plastic Ziploc bag or container and marinate in the refrigerator for up to 2 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
