Brioche Pecan Pie French Toast

Brioche Pecan Pie French Toast

Ingredients
For the Pecan Topping
- 1 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 cup pecans, roughly chopped
For the French Toast
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 8 slices St. Pierre Brioche Bread
- Powdered sugar, for topping
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans, for serving
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine maple syrup, brown sugar, butter and pecans. Stir well, bring to a simmer, then set aside.
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- In a large bowl, combine and whisk cinnamon, brown sugar, eggs, milk and vanilla.
- Dip each piece of bread in the egg mixture, then fry in the skillet until bread is golden brown on both sides.
- Serve French toast with the maple pecan topping. Top with powdered sugar and chopped pecans.
