Canadian Bacon Pizza
The following recipe and photography were provided by local blogger Carolyn Hodges of The Dinner Shift.
Have you heard the news? All of the Heinen’s brand bacon and ham products are now CARE Certified and sourced from Leidy’s in Pennsylvania! This includes their Canadian bacon that adds so much flavor to this simple vegetable pizza.
Similar to ham in texture, Canadian bacon is smoky, tender and not marbled like traditional bacon. It’s fully cooked, so there’s no need to cook it before using it as a pizza topping.
Simply cut it into small pieces and add it with the vegetables before baking. These pizzas come together quickly using Heinen’s frozen cauliflower pizza crusts (which don’t taste anything like cauliflower) and bake up in about 15 minutes.
