Elevate dinner at home with this simple roasted pork tenderloin glazed with a garlic honey sauce. It’s simple to prepare in well under an hour, but looks and tastes like a special restaurant meal! You could serve this with a simple salad, mashed sweet potatoes or quick sautéed vegetables, like Brussels sprouts and carrots.

Garlic Honey Glazed Pork Tenderloin

Pork tenderloin is one of my favorite proteins to prepare at home. It’s quick to cook and so versatile. It’s also a great source of lean protein and provides essential nutrients like B vitamins and the mineral zinc.

Because it’s quick to overcook, use a meat thermometer to keep tabs on the internal temperature (you’re aiming for 145˚F), and be sure to let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

  • ½ tsp. garlic powder
  • ½ tsp. paprika
  • ½ tsp. dried thyme
  • ½ tsp. kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp. freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 Heinen’s CARE Certified pork tenderloin (about 1 ¼ -1 ½ lbs.)
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil, divided
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 Tbsp. reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. honey

  1. Preheat oven to 450˚F.
  2. In a small dish, mix together the garlic powder, paprika, dried thyme, kosher salt and pepper. Sprinkle the seasoning mix over the pork tenderloin. Use your hands to ensure the pork is covered on all sides.
  3. Heat 1 Tbsp. of the oil in a large heavy skillet or cast iron pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the pork. Allow it to sear for 3 minutes, then flip and sear for another 3 minutes. Use tongs to rotate the pork to sear the remaining sides for about 1 minute each.
  4. Transfer the pork to a small sheet pan and place it in the oven (set the skillet aside as you’ll need it to prepare the glaze). Roast the pork for 15 -20 minutes, or until the internal temperature registers 145˚F.
  5. Remove the pork from oven and loosely cover it with foil. Allow to rest for 5 minutes.
  6. While the pork roasts, prepare the glaze. Return the same skillet to the stove over medium heat (don’t wipe out the pan). Add the remaining Tbsp. of oil, followed by the garlic. Sauté the garlic for 30 seconds, then add the water to deglaze the pan.
  7. Use a wooden spoon to scrape up the browned bits. Whisk in the soy sauce and honey. Continue to cook, stirring often, or until the glaze reduces and thickens, 2-4 minutes.
  8. Brush the pork with the glaze, then cut crosswise into ½-1-inch slices. Serve the pork topped with more glaze, if desired.
