Pumpkin Patch Treats at Home
Servings: 1 Float, 4 Small Bowls of Popcorn
Ingredients
For the Apple Cider Float
- 2-3 scoops Heinen’s vanilla bean ice cream
- ¼ cup local apple cider
- ½ cup ginger ale
- A sprinkle of Heinen’s ground cinnamon
- 1 pirouette cookie
For the Fall Spiced Kettle Corn
- 1/3 cup Heinen’s evaporated raw cane sugar
- 1 tsp. Heinen's ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. Heinen's ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp. Heinen's ground allspice
- 1/4 tsp. Heinen's ground cloves
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. Heinen’s coconut oil
- 1/2 cup Heinen’s yellow popping corn
Instructions
For the Apple Cider Float
- Scoop the vanilla ice cream into a glass.
- Pour the apple cider over top of the ice cream, followed by the ginger ale.
- Sprinkle it with cinnamon and garnish with a pirouette cookie as a straw!
For the Fall Spiced Kettle Corn
- Whisk together the sugar, cinnamon, ginger, allspice, cloves, and salt in a small bowl. Set aside.
- Add the coconut oil and 3 kernels of corn to a deep pot. Cover and place over medium heat. Make sure the heat isn’t too high or the sugar will burn.
- Heat without touching until you hear the kernels start to pop.
- Uncover and add the remaining kernels and the sugar-spice mixture.
- Place the cover back on and continue to heat, shaking the pot as the kernels pop.
- Once the popping slows, remove from the heat. Continue to shake until the popping stops.
- Carefully pour the popcorn into a serving bowl. The caramelized sugar will be hot!
