Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. Heinen’s extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 lb. Heinen’s CARE Certified 93% ground turkey
  • 1 (8 oz.) package Heinen’s recipe ready diced onions
  • ½ bell pepper, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, finely minced
  • 1 (8 oz. can) Heinen’s tomato sauce
  • ¼ cup Heinen’s ketchup
  • 2 tsp. Heinen’s light brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. Heinen’s yellow mustard
  • 4 Heinen’s brioche buns
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the turkey and onion, breaking up the meat with a spatula. Cook until the meat is no longer pink.
  2. Stir in the bell pepper and garlic. Cook until aromatic.
  3. Stir in the tomato sauce, ketchup, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer until the sauce thickens, about 10 minutes.
  4. Serve the meat mixture over the brioche buns.
