Steak and Shrimp Skillet with Herb Butter

For the Butter

  • 2 sticks Heinen's unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 Tbsp. fresh chives, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh rosemary, minced
  • Zest and juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Steak and Shrimp

  • 2 10 oz. Heinen's Care Certified New York strip steaks
  • 1 Tbsp. Heinen's olive oil
  • 1 lb. Heinen's fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Minced parsley, for garnish

  1. Add all of the ingredients for the herb butter to a small bowl and mix to combine. Set aside.
  2. Season the steaks on both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Add the oil to a large cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Once it begins to lightly smoke, add the steaks and cook them for 3-4 minutes per side for a medium-rare internal temperature.
  4. Set the steak aside on a plate to rest and drain any excess oil from the pan.
  5. Place the pan back on the burner over medium-high heat and add the shrimp. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes, or until just done.
  7. Serve the steak and shrimp along with the herb butter.
