Flavorful and Fantastic Two Way Sweet Potato Wedges
The recipe and photography for this post were provided by local blogger, Abby Thome of The Thome Home.
I may not be the most athletic girl in town, but I, hands down, could tackle a crowd of people to get my hands on these Sweet Potato Wedges. There is something so scrumptious about their crispy exterior, and when paired with the fluffy creamy inside, they become the perfect match. You didn’t think I’d whip up sweet potato wedges and serve them with ketchup, did you? In The Thome Home, we tend to take things to an entirely new level!
You must add these ingredients to your next Heinen’s grocery list. Different foods are constantly trending on social media, and I am quite surprised that the sweet potato has not made its big debut yet. I’ll do my part and start the wave with our ultimate Sweet Potato Wedges!
Omitting meat as often as possible is important in our home. I love to find new twists on staples that are nutrient-dense and could make an incredible side dish for my family to enjoy. Did you know, just one baked sweet potato contains enough Vitamin C to meet half of your daily needs? Even better, these beauties are packed with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties! This is a side dish you can feel good about eating.
These wedges are a fun way to add a flare to a basic dinner side. I whipped up two versions since I could not make up my mind as to what flavor profile I wanted to share. You simply bake the wedges, toss them in seasoning and dress with a delicious homemade sauce. The seasoning and sauces are what makes the difference between the two recipes. The first is Taco Wedges that get drizzled with a creamy avocado sauce. The second are Garlic Parmesan Wedges that get drizzled with a spicy sriracha yogurt sauce.
Guys, these will transform your approach to a basic boring potato side!
