What’s For Dinner? Korean Tofu Fried Rice

Ingredients

  • Panda Farms Extra Firm Tofu
  • Heinen's Fajita Mix Vegetables
  • Heinen’s Organic White Rice Bowl
  • Cleveland Classic Kimchi
  • Dumpling Daughter Ginger Soy Sauce

Instructions

  1. Place a large sauté pan over high heat.
  2. Wrap the tofu in paper towels and gently press some of the water out before dicing it into 1” cubes. Add some oil and sauté the tofu in the pan until lightly browned.
  3. Add the fajita mix to the pan and cook until the vegetables begin to caramelize.
  4. Heat the rice according to the directions.
  5. Place the tofu and vegetables on top of the rice, drizzle with the sauce, and garnish with the kimchi. Add cilantro, peanuts, or sriracha if desired.

In 1929, Joe Heinen opened the doors of a small butcher shop on the east side of Cleveland, Ohio, aiming to establish himself as the city’s purveyor of quality meats. As customers came into Heinen’s new shop for their meat purchases, they began asking him to carry groceries as well. Joe added homemade peanut butter, pickles and donuts and by 1933, business had grown enough to include a line of produce and canned goods. Heinen’s Grocery Store was born.
